The Beverly Hilton Hotel in California will roll out the red carpet for the 22nd Living Legends of Aviation awards ceremony on April 25, with Prince Harry set to grace the event alongside Hollywood's finest and the most revered figures in aviation.

Last year, at the 2024 gala, the Duke of Sussex was celebrated as a Living Legend, a nod to his time as an Army pilot. During the ceremony, he playfully chided host and actor John Travolta for constantly recounting the tale of his dance with Harry's mother, the late Princess Diana.

At the previous year's gathering, Harry joined the esteemed ranks of the "Living Legends of Aviation" in recognition of his service as a British Army veteran and pilot. As he accepted the honor, he gave Travolta a friendly pat, expressing his gratitude with a cheeky, "This is nice. Thanks very much, Captain John."

He teased Travolta by saying, "I was one year old when you danced with my mum. As you've told everybody here and continue to dine out on that probably every single night."

Harry then quipped, "But look at us now! It's great. So if we're not going to dance together, we'll fly together," reports the Express.

The crowd erupted into laughter as Harry humorously gestured to dismiss Travolta, remarking, "Thank you, that's it, we're done." Prince Harry's decade-long military career culminated in him achieving the rank of Captain, and he went on to establish the Invictus Games, a competitive sporting event for injured servicemen and women and veterans.

Last year, the event's website lauded Prince Harry for his charitable efforts with organizations such as Travalyst, Sentebale, African Parks, and WellChild. The website highlighted, "Prince Harry is a humanitarian, military veteran, mental wellness advocate, and environmentalist. He has dedicated his life to advancing causes that he is passionate about and that bring about permanent change for people and places."

The emotional connection between John Travolta and Prince Harry, linked through their shared admiration for Princess Diana, has moved fans deeply, sparking an outpouring of joy on social media.

Tonight, Prince Harry will mingle with Hollywood's elite, including Morgan Freeman and John Travolta, at the prestigious aviation awards ceremony. Travolta, a well-known ambassador for aviation, will be hosting the event, which will also pay tribute to aerial firefighters for their courageous efforts against California's recent wildfires.

Flying magazine reports that this year's honorees include Christopher Cassidy, a former Navy SEAL and NASA astronaut celebrated for his extensive time in space; Robert "Hoot" Gibson, a decorated astronaut and pilot; and Tom Costello, NBC's esteemed aviation and space correspondent. Additionally, the ceremony will present the first-ever Dr. Buzz Aldrin Space Advancement Award to the Polaris Dawn Crew in recognition of their groundbreaking mission.

An upcoming ceremony is set to pay tribute to the stellar crew of a historic mission: Jared Isaacman, the commander; Scott "Kid" Poteet, the pilot; Sarah Gillis, the specialist; and Anna Menon, the specialist and medical officer, for their incredible accomplishments including "cutting-edge experiments, high-altitude orbital manoeuvres, and the first private spacewalk."
