Chopping up ingredients can often be a tedious task in the kitchen, whether you're dicing veggies, smashing biscuits for a cheesecake base or kneading dough for your pizza. That's why countless home chefs rave about their food processors – these gadgets make light work of such tasks.

Now could be a splendid time to get one for yourself as the Ninja Food Processor has just had its price slashed on Amazon. It is currently priced at £98.97 down from £119.99.

This handy machine can do it all – chopping, puréeing, mixing, slicing and even grating, allowing you to create everything from salads to sauces and doughs without breaking a sweat. The Ninja Food Processor features a simple one-touch operation with four unique automatic programs.

The gadget isn't short on control either; it boasts three manual speed options and comes with a hefty 2.1-liter bowl. Packed with interchangeable blades and add-ons like a dough tool, and being dishwasher-safe, it's a breeze to clean up.

What's more, it includes a useful feed chute that makes adding ingredients during operation safe and easy reports the Express. Customers on Amazon have left glowing reviews, with one saying: "Perfect little powerhouse of a food processor."

Another customer shared their experience, saying: "Brilliant processor! I bought it for my wife to replace an old one. She's used it several times now and is very impressed. It's fast, easy to use, clean and looks great! She read the reviews and is very careful to avoid the super sharp cutting blades and uses a long-handled brush to clean them."

They concluded: "I got a discount on the price too! The cable winds around the base at the back so it's hidden and tidy. It is noisy but I think they all are."

A third said: "Easy to set up and use. I started off by making pizza dough which my old, more powerful processor couldn't handle. The Ninja blasted through with no problems at all. The AUTO-IQ function is very handy and stops the machine when it thinks it's done. The rubber feet hold it in place so you can just set it running and do something else."

A fourth shared their less favourable experience: "Another review states that the blades are very sharp. This is wrong - they are unbelievably sharp. I'm now sporting several plasters. And the best bit, the bowl and all the blades can go in the dishwasher which will probably save me a fortune in band-aids."

Yet another person added: "Got this bought for me to replace my old 'magic machine'. I used it for the first time yesterday and although it looks lovely and feels very solid and well-made, I was disappointed with the whizzing feature.

"My old machine would crush porridge oats to dust - this one left large pieces. Maybe I'm doing it wrong, but it was not what I expected. Be warned, the blades are razor sharp!"

A sixth shopper enthused: "Wow this is a neat piece of kit for the kitchen. Made an 8" cheesecake in no time. Easy to use and easy to clean. Nothing to dislike about it. Looks like cakes will start appearing more frequently in this household."

The processor is also available directly from the Ninja website for the same price as Amazon. In addition, Kitchenaid has slashed the price of its Food Processor 3.1L from £319 to £239.25, while Lakeland is offering the Kenwood 2-in-1 Multipro Express Food Processor and Blender for £99.99.
