Police searching for two missing teenagers have confirmed a new sighting of the pair has been made. Isabelle and Daniel, missing from the Ceredigion area left home on Monday, April 7 without their mobile phones and are understood to have taken camping equipment.

Police have now confirmed a new sighting of the 16-year-olds near Aberystwyth train station at 12.30pm on Friday, April 11. Dyfed-Powys Police said the sighting was on Alexandra Road and it is believed they then caught the T1 bus which left at 12.36pm.

It comes after police yesterday said there had been a confirmed sighting of them at Llandudno train station at 8.20pm on Thursday, asking for directions to Dolgellau. Read the biggest stories in Wales first by signing up to our daily newsletter here

Officers have also released descriptions of the two teenagers. They described Isabelle as being 5ft 3in tall and usually having blonde hair, though she may have dyed her hair to a darker colour.

They said she was last seen wearing a black parker style coat with a fur edge, grey jogging bottoms and carrying a large black backpack. Daniel has been described as being 6ft 1in tall with short dark brown hair with shaved sides.

In this recent sighting police have described him as wearing a black baseball cap with white markings on the front. The 16-year-old was also wearing dark blue jeans, a black t-shirt and a black collared coat and carrying a black, red and grey large camping backpack.

Police have also stressed they believe the pair have taken a change of clothes and could now be wearing something different to what they've described. In an interview with WalesOnline last week, Daniel's dad said leaving home was "out-of-character" for his son and said he'd spoken to him on a Skype call the night before he went missing.

It is believed that they have taken camping equipment with them and have connections to the Gloucestershire, Merseyside and North Wales areas. Dyfed-Powys Police said the teenager's families are "increasingly concerned for their safety and welfare and eagerly await their safe return home".
