Police probing suspected hit-and-run along Spanish Town Bypass
Investigators assigned to the St Catherine North Police Division are probing the circumstances surrounding an alleged hit-and-run that claimed the life of an unidentified man whose body was found on the Spanish Town Bypass on Sunday.
The body is about 5 feet 8 inches long and appears to be in its fifties.
It was clad in a multicoloured shirt, blue jeans and a grey knapsack.
Reports from the Spanish Town police are that about 10:40 p.m., residents observed a body lying on the roadway and alerted them.
Upon arrival, the body was seen with several severe injuries.
The scene was processed and the body removed for a post-mortem.
The police are appealing to anyone with information to come forward.
Investigations continue.
