Drug bust in Baton Rouge leads to 3 arrests
BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - A drug bust in Baton Rouge led to three arrests and the seizure of over 2,800 lethal doses of fentanyl, along with other drugs.
In March 2025, the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office began investigating accused drug dealers Jermaine Harris, 43, and Terrance Noel, 48.

Agents took hours of surveillance of Harris, who had active warrants, and Noel at their home on Victoria Drive.
Deputies conducted a traffic stop takeaway of fentanyl from the home. A search warrant was obtained for the Victoria Drive address and Harris’ vehicle.
On March 26, 2025, EBRSO SWAT deputies executed the search warrant on Victoria Drive.
The following arrests and seizures are the result of the search warrant:
SEIZED NARCOTICS, PARAPHERNALIA, AND CURRENCY
- 10.01 ounces of Fentanyl (2,830 lethal doses)
- 50 Buprenorphine and Naloxone Strips
- 12 Dosage Units of Hydrocodone Bitartrate and Acetaminophen
- 6 Dosage Units of Methylphenidate Hydrochloride
- (3) Digital Scales and 4 boxes of plastic bags (packaging)
- Manitol (cutting agent)
- Blender with Residue
- Money counter
- $3,467

During a recorded interview with Noel, he admitted to trying to get rid of the fentanyl once SWAT executed the search warrant. Drone footage also showed Noel actively flushing drugs in the toilet. Noel admitted that the fentanyl and gun located in his room belonged to him.
