IIM-Mumbai Placement: 100% success for 2025 class, top salary at Rs 47.5 lakh per annum

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Mumbai has achieved a 100 per cent placement rate for its 2025 batch. The highest salary package touched Rs 47.5 lakh per annum (LPA), while the average salary for the top 20 per cent of students stood at Rs 41.2 LPA.
The placement drive witnessed participation from 198 companies, marking a 10 per cent rise in job offers compared to the previous year. The transition from NITIE to IIM Mumbai has strengthened the institute’s brand value, attracting top recruiters across industries, including consulting, e-commerce, and healthcare, an IIM Mumbai statement said.
“The successful transition to IIM Mumbai, along with our focus on future-ready skills, has significantly contributed to this achievement. Our students have once again proved their mettle in a highly competitive job market,” said Prof. Manoj Tiwari, Director of IIM Mumbai.
This year’s placement season saw a 130 per cent surge in pharma and healthcare job offers followed by the retail and e-commerce sector with a 47.73 per cent increase. The consulting firms ramped up hiring by 28.92 per cent.
Top recruiters included Accenture (41 offers, Rs 45.37 LPA average package), PwC India (18 offers), PwC US Advisory (10 offers), along with Alvarez & Marsal, OfBusiness, Praxis Global Alliance, Vodafone Idea, Workday, and ZS.
The institute said that its expansion of its curriculum in areas including digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and data analytics further cemented its position as a leader in preparing students for the evolving business landscape.
“The institute’s focus on future-ready skills continues to attract top recruiters from diverse sectors, offering a wide array of roles in finance, sales, marketing, product management, and more,” it added saying that in addition to the consistent participation of industry giants such as Accenture, PwC, and Blinkit, over 40 new recruiters joined the placement drive this year.
With salary packages rising by 5 per cent on average, the institute said, IIM Mumbai has once again reinforced its position as a premier business school, offering lucrative career opportunities to its students.
