Perks and Pay: Why internships are more attractive than ever

The average internship stipend in India stands at Rs 25,432 per month, with cities like Hyderabad, Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune, and Gurgaon offering above-average stipends. Cities like Chennai and Kolkata, however, fall on the lower end of the spectrum. However, competitive pay isn’t the only driving factor. Employers are now providing additional benefits including work-from-home options, flexible schedules, health insurance coverage, paid sick leave and cell phone reimbursements.
