It happened last year when the cucumber salad trend sent Aussies into a frenzy to get their hands on a specific seasoning and again this year as the cottage cheese beef bowl made it almost impossible to find a tub of cottage cheese.

That is Capilano Hot Chilli Honey.
The hot chilli honey is an essential ingredient in the cottage cheese beef bowl – a recipe that has taken the internet by storm with TikTok Food Creator of the Year Michael Finch amassing a whopping 4.9 million views on his video in just three days.

While the recipe seems quite simple – beef mince cooked in taco seasoning with some sweet potato, avocado and cottage cheese – it's the Capilano Hot Chilli Honey that brings the extra hit of flavour.
And it's become so popular, some are struggling to get their hands on it.
"I can't get that damn Hot Honey Chilli. I got everything else but that," wrote one user.
"Can't wait to try when restocked," added another.
Hot Chilli Honey has been big in the US for a while now, and now Aussies are using it on everything from avocado toast to pizza.
